WHEN WE ENTHRONE JESUS IN OUR HOMES, WE PLACE A PICTURE OF HIS SACRED HEART IN A
PROMINENT PLACE TO FOREVER REMIND US OF HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US AND HOW WE SHOULD
GRATEFULLY LOVE HIM FOR HIS GOODNESS EVERYDAY OF OUR LIVES.

THE ENTHRONEMENT

WHAT IS IT?- The Sacred Heart of Jesus is King of the individual, the family, and the human race. The enthronement of the Sacred Heart in the home is the recognition of Jesus as King of the family. He is King of the home by divine appointment, conquest and excellence, but He desires to be such by OUR OWN PERSONAL CHOICE. The enthronement is more than a mere blessing of a Sacred Heart picture or the mere dedication of the family to the Divine Heart; it is a WAY OF LIFE. It is a recognition of Jesus Christ, and of His Royal Power over the family, which pledges to live in union with Jesus by love, grace and obedience of His Commandments. In this way the Enthronement brings countless graces and blessings on the family, sanctifies it and through the family, society.
WHO IS ITS APOSTLE?- Father Mateo Crawley-Boevey, SS CC, a South American priest of the congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Upon his instantaneous cure of Paray-le-Monial, he was inspired by God to preach everywhere the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in connection with the promise of the Saviour: "I will bless every place where an image of My Heart shall be set up and honored."
WHERE IS THE ENTHRONEMENT TO TAKE PLACE?- It is intended for homes, schools, convents, institutions, businesses, parishes , dioceses, cities, states, and nations. We especially invite newlyweds and those contemplating marriage to place their hearts in the Heart of Christ in this manner, thereby assuring themselves of special graces in their everyday problems and difficulties.
WE HONOR JESUS IN OUR HOMES WHEN WE INVITE HIM TO REIGN AS KING OVER OUR FAMILY. THEN
HE TEACHES US THE GREAT LESSON OF LOVE SO THAT IN FAMILY JOYS AND SORROWS CHILDREN AND
PARENTS REMAIN HARMONIOUSLY ONE IN HIS GENTLE AND LOVING HEART.
WHY IS IT SO VITAL?- It stabilizes the family, so vital to the Church and state; whoever rules the family rules society. It sanctifies the family, creates in the home a Catholic atmosphere and a spirit of piety, fosters vocations to religious life, brings back the wayward members, helps and consoles the members in time of trial, mourning, etc. in short, it helps make the family thoroughly Christian.
HOW IS IT CARRIED OUT?- Though not necessary, invite a priest to preside and, if possible offer Mass in the home for the family who should all try to receive Holy Communion that day. A beautiful statue or picture of the Sacred Heart is is procured and a prominent place of honor or "throne" is prepared and decorated with flowers, candles, etc. Invite friends and neighbors to share this happy occasion.

The steps in the ceremony are: (1) The Blessing of the home (optional) (2) The Blessing of the pictures of images (3) Placing the image of the "throne" by the family (the essential act) (4) Recitation of the Apostles Creed (5) Explanation of the Enthronement (6) The Act of Consecration and the Prayer of Thanksgiving (7) The Blessing of the family (8) Signing of the Document and Report Card (send for Ceremonial and Document)
WHEN SHOULD THE ENTHRONEMENT TAKE PLACE?- NOW, because family life needs the help of Jesus.

The Promises of Our Lord

for Souls Devoted to His Sacred Heart:

1. I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
2. I will establish peace in their houses.
3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
4. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all in death.
5. I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings.
6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
7. Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
9. I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
11. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
12. I promise thee in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their Sacraments; My Devine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

"Always keep your eyes on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, King and Center of all hearts. From Him you will learn the
great lesson of love, of goodness, of sacrifice, of piety, so necessary for every Christian family.  From his Heart
you will obtain strength, serenity, authentic and profound happiness for your married life!  You will draw down
His blessings if the image of His Heart, besides being impressed on your mind, is always exposed and honored
on the walls of your home."

YOU CANT MAKE IT ALONE!
"Without Me you can do nothing!"

These words of Our Lord are especially true of your family. You need the help of Him who said:

I will bless all your undertakings
I will bring peace to your family
I will be your security
I will reunite divided families

YOU HAVE TO PRAY TOGETHER

To obtain blessing, peace, security, unity in your home, in your business, you must share your daily life with Jesus, the King and Friend of your home. Do this by Praying together daily, at the evening meal:

Dear Sacred Heart of Jesus, we renew
our pledge of love and loyalty to You.
Keep us always close to Your loving
Heart and to the most pure Heart of
Your Mother.

May we love one another more and
more each day, forgiving each other's
faults as You forgive our sins.  Teach us
how to see You in those we meet outside
our home.  Please help us keep our love
for You always strong by frequent Mass
and Communion.

Thank You, dear Jesus, King and
of today.  Protect us during this night.
Help us all to get to heaven.  Amen
